Holy jesus.
its been nice the last couple of days here in utah
and i'm loving it.
i'm hoping that i wont be bitching about it anymore =]
So...I went to Galway Downs Horse Trials in Temecula, CA.
it was so fun!
the first A rated so i've ever been to.
it was so fun to watch the intermediate riders!
i didnt get to watch much...cause i went to take photos and help my trainers
so i was always helping them with their horses...
but thats okay.
it was still way fun.
i cant wait to start showing!
OH
i made a poll, about what bit you fellow riders use, if you could take it and tell me, it would be very very helpful!
i got my Quarterhorse, Val's teeth floated by the only equine dentist in Utah, because he grinds his teeth.
she said that his teeth are really sharp on the sides,
and just about everytime i take the bit, it cuts his mouth.
i felt SOOOO bad i wanted to cry.
ANYWAYS
so after a few days i took him out on the cross country course,
and he was amazing.
like...he galloped towards fences i had never been over before,
i felt like he was a complete run-away and i had no control!
it was AWESOME.
well...mostly cause he isnt very bold toward fences. and i didnt have to PUSH him a few strides before the jump.
i was ACTUALLY pulling him back!!
holy crap. i was so excited.
so anyways,
i think i need to get a different bit for him. i need a slightly harsher bit.
i use a french link snaffle JP by korsteel.
i read about it somewhere and it said that it isnt good over fences
because its a really mild bit.
but yesterday, i rode him in a regular full cheek snaffle,
and he was so so so good.
i got him to stretch down farther than ever,
and he...doesnt stretch very well.
haha.
so i am happy.
anyways if you could just tell me what type of bit you use,
that would be great!
and if i dont have any more options just vote for the one closest
to what you use and comment me and let me know
it would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Fingers missing from hands, ready to snap bones
And necks, pierced together from dead tissue
Body parts crudely sewn,
face is smashed to pulp drooling from an empty socket
Brain half dead.
